How readers grow through Beginning & Emerging Reader

This stage has three levels of growth. Readers move through at their own pace — there is no rush.

2A — Closed Cave

Units 1-14: CVC consolidation, digraphs (sh/ch/th), beginning blends, glued sounds.

2B — Magic E Garden

Units 15-40: Magic E, vowel teams (ai/ee/oa), r-controlled vowels, syllable types.

2C — Le Castle

Units 40-60: Inflectional endings, prefixes and suffixes, open/closed syllable division.
